We have just completed post production for our latest short film: Eyetooth. It was produced under the Saw Video Jumpstart Mentorship program and we are very excited about this film, which is our first dramatic short. We will begin submitting it to film festivals in the new year.

A lot has happened since our last post, we had two of our films accepted and screened and the inaugural ODFF (Ottawa Digital Film Festival). 127 seconds and Do Not Touch both screened to a receptive crowd, Wolf Pelt earned an honourable mention at the end of the event for both films.

In April Saw video organized the inaugural Ottawa Independent Video Awards. Cory Thibert was Nominated Best Director Under 25 for our short film Trois. The award went to Morgana McKenzie, who at only 16 years old is an amazing filmmaker and one who we are excited to follow and see what she makes next.

In October the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge was launched with a long list of guest judges. We produced and submitted 4 of our own which you can view below. So far, Wrung Out has made Jennilee murrays top 5 list

Check out the shorts here.

Do Not Touch will be playing at Mirror Mountain Film festival here in Ottawa on Dec. 6th. This is another inaugural film festival in town and one that we are very excited to be a part of. It has been a big year with a lot of great opportunities and events for filmmakers and we are gracious to have been a part of them.
In the new year we plan on producing our second Wolf Pelt film screening, a small intimate night with drinks and new works from us and other filmmakers that we love to or would love to collaborate with in the future.
